Why buy a property in super?
We start the course by meeting your instructor and getting a quick overview of Blue Wealth Property Academy. We look at the history of super funds, looking at property vs managed funds as different investment options and explore the benefits of buying property in super.

Self-managed super funds
In lesson 2 we look into the requirements for setting up a super fund – what is legally required, how much does it cost, who can help with its management on an ongoing basis. We examine the responsibilities surrounding the effective running of your superfund.

Finance for Property Investment in Super
Borrowing money in a superfund is not as straight forward as borrowing personally, so in lesson 3 we explore the financial set up needed. We look at the lenders who offer loans to superfunds and look at the differences of these loans to investment loans you can access personally.

What type of property investment?
In lesson 4 we explore different property investment types and determine if they are well suited to investment by your super fund. We’ll look at commercial property, residential property, buying old vs new and developing. We go through in detail the advantages, disadvantages and possibilities of each one.

Getting ready to borrow
Now that we have all this knowledge behind us, lesson 5 will explore the team you need to have so as to ensure your SMSF is set up properly, it’s being managed responsibly and your investment choices are the best ones to build wealth for the long term – which is what your super fund is all about!
